July 4th, we headed out to Manassas, VA, just because.
It was a cute little town that went all our for Independence Day, but I assume most American towns do.
This is one of those trees in blossom.
The Welcome Centre was in the train station and the Train actually comes through. We had to go there to get some maps of the area because Ron LOVES maps!
This was the bathroom actually
I gave Ron the camera for a bit because I don’t always get pictures of me and also it’s good to have another eye sometimes.
But, we should read signs first. That’s my “oh no, I hope we don’t get into trouble” face
This is just a variety of photos around the town.
We stopped to get a coffee and we were sitting outside then the rains came. We were outside this great little coffee place so we popped in and were able to sit right in front of the window in comfy chairs and we read for a bit.
Then the sun came out again.
Ron found one of his favourite places!
After we walked around a bit more, we decided to get something to eat before we headed over to find a spot to watch the fireworks.
We decided to eat at The Bone. Ron had pulled pork but I was just not that hungry and felt like all we had done was eat, so I opted for a salad. I know boring but good for me, Right?
When Ron bought is LP’s at the store, they gave us two balloons. I’m not sure why. They probably felt sorry for us that we weren’t parading around with the Red, White and Blue. I asked Ron to take some pictures of me with them. He is so afraid that he won’t get a good picture that he takes many….
We then went to the park to find a spot to watch the fireworks. Clearly, I need a better camera.
They were pretty long fireworks and very well done. The sky got a bit smoky after a while but all in all a good time.
Then we went and had some drinks with Ken and Judy but I have no pictures to prove that!!
Until we meet again.
i want to know what that flowering tree is!! I think your fireworks pics are great!
It was so hard to take firework pictures. I just kept snapping!
