So it is the first Sunday in November and Ron and I remembered to change our clocks and are sitting at church.
I lean over to him, no, actually I wrote on the bulletin, “Do we have any Bourbon”? Not something that usually comes up during a church service.
With raised eyebrows he says “No”. I say “I need some, now”! Ha Ha
Before I left for church, I decided I would make this.
I took some banana’s out of the freezer to thaw then we went off to church.
I did listen to the sermon which was about giving your best to others, not your leftovers. For example when giving to the food bank, don’t give the kidney beans in the back of your pantry (which I have done in the past and I am not proud of it) but the peanut butter that costs about $7 a jar right now. So, I get home and I just begin to make this awesome loaf. It is pretty simple, and easy, all the usual things you put in a banana loaf, 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas, 1 tsp. lemon juice and of course the usual 3 tablespoons BOURBON!

Bourbon you say?
